Yes. StarShare works by monitoring your public Google reviews. If you don't have a Google Business Profile yet, you can create one for free at business.google.com. Most local businesses already have one.

Go to the Google Maps Place ID Finder (linked in your dashboard), search for your business, and copy the Place ID that appears (it usually starts with 'ChI'). Paste it into the dashboard and you're set.

Only 5-star reviews. We filter out anything below 5 stars so your social media always showcases your best feedback. Reviews containing profanity are automatically flagged for manual review, even if they're 5 stars.

Yes. By default, new reviews are held for your approval. You can also enable 'Auto-Approve' in your settings to let StarShare post immediately without waiting for your sign-off. Most businesses prefer auto-approve since all posts are 5-star reviews.

StarShare checks for new reviews every hour. If a new 5-star review is found, it's processed based on your posting frequency setting — immediately, daily, or weekly.

Each post includes a branded 1080x1080 graphic featuring the review text, the reviewer's name, your business name, and a 5-star visual. The caption is AI-written with an engaging hook and relevant hashtags. Think of it as a professional social media post — without hiring a social media manager.

Yes. We use AI to turn each review into a natural, engaging social media caption with relevant hashtags. The captions are authentic and enthusiastic — not robotic. You can always review them before posting if you prefer.

Currently, StarShare auto-posts to Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts. These are the platforms where most local businesses get the most visibility from review content.

You need a Facebook Page (not a personal profile) connected to an Instagram Business or Creator account. This is required by Meta's API for automatic posting. If you don't have a Page yet, you can create one for free at facebook.com/pages/create.

Not for automatic posting. Instagram's Content Publishing API requires a linked Facebook Page. This is a Meta/Instagram requirement, not a StarShare limitation. The good news: setting up a Page takes about 5 minutes.

We only request permission to publish content to your Facebook Page and linked Instagram account. We cannot access your personal messages, friends list, or any private information. We take your privacy seriously.

Any posts that are already live on your social media stay there — they're yours. StarShare simply stops generating new content and auto-posting. You can always resubscribe later.

Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and never share your data with third parties. Your Google and Facebook credentials are handled through official OAuth flows — we never see or store your passwords.

No. If auto-approve is off (the default), every post waits for your approval. If auto-approve is on, you explicitly enabled it — and you can turn it off anytime from your settings.

Yes. You can disconnect Google or Facebook at any time from your dashboard. StarShare will immediately stop fetching reviews or posting to your social media.
